She went back and forth on it for ages. But eventually, she made the call. A big move, halfway around the world, with a whole new life waiting for her Down Under.

Her friends and family? They were sad to see her go. But they made sure she got a proper send-off. A farewell party, done right.

No good party happens without proper food, and Hog Roast Bridlington came in to sort it.

Since Yvonne was heading for Aussie shores, we figured a backyard barbie-style menu was the way to go. Handmade British beef burgers, big sausages, sticky BBQ ribs, and grilled chicken kebabs, all hot off the flames. Heaps of fries and fresh sides on the table too. Even the fussy eaters couldn’t resist and there were plenty of veggie and vegan options. Hog Roast Bridlington made sure no one went hungry.

There wasn’t much of a plan, which was kind of the point. People just talked, laughed, ate their weight, and soaked up the sun. Time flew by without anyone checking the clock. Yvonne was all over the place, hugging people, taking pictures, making the most of it before the big shift.

By the time the sun started dipping, plates were empty, and the goodbyes kicked off. A few tears here and there. Loads of hugs. Promises to visit.

It was the kind of send-off she deserved. And we were glad to play our little part in it.
