You don’t really appreciate the pressure of event planning until you’re the one staring at a spreadsheet at midnight wondering how on earth you’re going to feed dozens of people with wildly different tastes.
Venue? That’s easy. Guest list? Mostly under control. But catering? That’s where things get… interesting.
Food isn’t just another box to tick – it’s the bit everyone remembers. The bit people talk about on the drive home. And yet, so many caterers still operate like it’s the past century: fixed menus, minimal swaps, and a polite-but-firm “no” if you dare ask about a vegan option.
We’ve heard the stories. We’ve lived them too. Hosts hiring one company for the main meal and another just to make sure their veggie cousin doesn’t survive on bread rolls alone. It shouldn’t be that complicated.
That’s exactly why Hog Roast Beverley does things differently.
When we first started out, it was all about the hog roast. And don’t get us wrong – it’s still our crown jewel. But over time, we realised something important: being great at one thing is good. Being great at feeding everyone is better.
So our menus grew.
Meaty Marvels
If pork’s not your preference, no problem. Hog Roast Beverley will happily roast chicken, beef, lamb or turkey to perfection, pairing each with gravies, herb rubs and sides that actually bring out the natural flavours of the meat. If you’re looking for something a tad more relaxed, our Gourmet BBQ and Deep South-inspired dishes bring big, bold comfort-food energy without feeling overly fussy.
Veggie & Vegan Favourites
Meat-free shouldn’t mean joy-free. That’s why we’ve developed satisfying plant-based mains along with a range of vegan and vegetarian canapés, sides and desserts that are crafted with the same care and attention to detail as our meat options.
Picky Bits & Grazing Goodness
There’s something magical about bite-sized food at the start of an event. Mini quiches, tiny pizzas, fish and chips in neat little cones, even Indian-inspired nibbles. Add a grazing platter stacked with Italian meats, cheeses and fresh bread, and you’ll have your guests hooked from the first bite.
At the end of the day, catering shouldn’t cause you extra stress. It should solve it. And if there’s one thing Hog Roast Beverley has learned, it’s that flexibility – and a well-fed crowd – makes all the difference.
