Hainsworth Park Golf Club doesn’t host weddings every weekend. In fact, Louise and Ash’s celebration was only the fifth in a decade – but far from making it feel like uncharted territory, that rarity made the day even more magical.

The afternoon unfolded at its own easy pace, with 87 guests settling into the kind of relaxed celebration that every couple aims for. And when it came time to feed everyone, Hog Roast Brandesburton was on hand to ensure the catering lived up to the striking setting.
When we first heard from Louise and Ash months before their big day, they knew exactly what they wanted from their wedding meal. Rather than a formal sit-down service, they went for something far more relaxed and sociable: our Southern Slow Roast Menu. It suited the mood of the day perfectly, encouraging guests to wander over when they felt ready, fill their plates with whatever caught their eye and settle back into the celebrations without any fuss.
And there was plenty to catch their eye. Some made a beeline for our Texan beef brisket – soft, slow-cooked and the kind of tender that melts in your mouth. Others weighed up Cajun-spiced chicken, butcher’s sausages and pulled minted lamb with the quiet seriousness of someone making a very important decision. But whatever direction guests went in, the reaction was the same: instant approval.
As always, Hog Roast Brandesburton made sure the meat-free guests were equally well looked after too. Grilled vegetable kebabs with optional halloumi, tzatziki and flatbreads gave them a genuine highlight of their own, while an inclusive lineup of sides – Greek salad, seasonal vegetables and a mix of sweet potato and classic fries – meant every plate could be built exactly as the person holding it wanted.

With plates loaded high, guests found their way to the wooden tables running the length of the tipi tent – and what a place to sit and eat. A heart-shaped flower arch formed the centrepiece, surrounded by soft floral arrangements and garlands that gave the whole space a light, airy quality without ever feeling overdone. Warm, romantic and relaxed all at once – it was exactly the atmosphere Louise and Ash had been going for, and exactly the kind of setting that makes a good meal feel even better.
Congratulations Louise and Ash. Hog Roast Brandesburton loved being a part of your big day.
